The One Product You Need to Fake Perfect Skin

Hollywood Flawless Filter

The Latest From Charlotte Tilbury

As a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury, the latest release went straight to the top of my review list when it hit my desk. Illuminator’s are currently my most loved makeup product because they add new dimension and radiance to fresh-skin. Therefore the addition of the new Hollywood Flawless Filter sparked my interest as soon as I pulled it out of the packet. Here’s everything you need to know about Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter…

The product is not only aesthetically beautiful (the packaging makes me swoon), but really does hold a completely unqiue offering as a complexion booster. It creates an instant filter-effect by soft-focusing, smoothing & brightening your skin. The product is available in seven shades to suit various skin tones, and No. 5 was the ideal match for me. Make no mistake, this isn’t a foundation or coverage product and that’s why you won’t find 40+ shades to choose from.

Hollywood Flawless Filter was developed using airbrush polymers, porcelain flower extract, glossy oil and finely milled powders which creates a smooth, bright and dewy finish on the skin. It’s cruelty-free and free of talc, parabens, fragrance and alcohol. Given all these different benefits, it’s only fitting that this multitasker can be used in any number of different ways to give you the exact effect you want. Dotted onto your skin as a primer before makeup, applied to your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose as a highlighter, or even wear it alone when you want to fake perfect skin.

As for me, I’ve tried and tested it in a multitude of ways. By itself, my pores are blurred and it gives my skin a natural freshness. Mixed with Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder Foundation, my skin looked flawless and glossy, creamy and set in place. And when it came to longevity, wearing this throughout the day certainly lasted better than I expected. In the evening, my base looked almost the same as it had been at the start of the day. I’m actually super impressed.

Did I mention that the Hollywood Flawless Filter doubles as a highlighter? It illuminates the high points of my face; cheekbones, bridge of my nose and cupid’s bow. I love having a warm, overall glow across my body. There isn’t always time to fit in spray tans or self-tanning. I mixed some of the Hollywood Flawless Filter (shade No.7) with my favorite body moisturizer and it gave me a warm, sun-kissed look. The wand applicator is similar to a doe foot lipgloss, only bigger, and I just don’t feel that it works for blending this product. A brush, beauty blender or your fingers work far better!

Either way, it’s earned its place in my makeup bag. It’s not full coverage, my skin still looks like skin but fresh, glossy and beautiful. It ticks multiple categories and is also one entirely on its own. In my opinion, it’s a product that lives up to its hype. I can’t get enough of Charlotte Tilbury products lately, what products are you desperate to try out?
